Puma.com
I really love shopping for shoes at this site, they have an awesome search engine. When you click on “shoes” it brings you to a search page where you answer questions and it finds what you want. You first chose men, women, Jr or all then the main color of the shoe. Next they ask what type of shoe you want and you can chose from basketball, baseball, platinum, running soccer, Sport LifeStyle or tennis. You next chose the size, they include half sizes in the drop down menu, and finally you chose the price range from under $45 to above $60. You hit “Get It!” and it will tell you if there are any results. I usually do a vague search so that it finds more and I might just see something that I never would have searched for.
I want to add that I love their shoes. I have not found any shoes that fit as well or are as comfortable as my Pumas.
The Apparel
With apparel searching is a little different, they have everything more laid out for you to click on links instead of filling out a search. They have it broken down into three main categories: Woman-ly, Man-ly, or Junior-ly. Under each of those categories they have shirts, pants, shorts, dress/skirt for women and jackets for men. After you select a subcategory it will show all of the products in that category. It will include a picture or drawing of that article of clothing along with a little info about that piece.
I was very happy to see that they had x-small shirts for women but kind of disappointed to see that they didn’t have x-large. Most of the shirts I have purchased where in the $20-25 range some are cheaper and some are a lot more expensive. A lot of the women pants state that they are unisex, I have not bought any so I am not sure how they fit but they do have sizes small-xxlarge. The pants cost around $35-40.
Stuff
Stuff is Puma.com’s third major category. In here you will just find bags/purses. I have seen nothing but bags in this section, hopefully they will add more gear and sport related ‘stuff’.
Buying
If you find products that you like you just click the Buy link next to that item and it will take you to a page where you fill out the rest of the info needed to add that item to your shopping cart. Here they show you the price, the sizes available, the other colors if applicable and how many of that item you would like. It then puts it in your shopping cart and you are able to continue shopping or check out.
Many people wonder about taxes, well if you are from New York, Florida or California you will be charged tax.
Shipping-Buy A Lot or Get Ripped Off
The flat shipping rate of $7 is really great for me, because I love to buy a pair of shoes and a few t-shirts. So $7 is definitely a reasonable amount for shipping shoes that are normally quite spendy to ship. But say you are just buying one little t-shirt for $20, $7 seems like a rip off. So this is one place that buying more will save you money flat out. Unlike other sites where it’s a per item charge or it depends on weight. So go on, buy all 3 pairs of shoes! :)
For refunds you as the buyer are expected to pay the shipping unless Puma.com made an error in your shipment. Puma.com will not allow exchanges but only refunds on your credit card. I have not had to return anything yet and hope that they do implement a better return policy soon.
Tracking is a piece of cake. You can track your item through the FedEx tracking center, but they do not have an on-site tracking tool at Puma.com. They send you an email with your tracking code you then have to track the package at the FedEx site or by calling their 1-800 number.
All orders with Puma.com came at a decent rate of time (4-6 days), all were in perfect shape and exactly what I ordered, and most of all were packaged well. I recommend Puma.com to any of the sporty/outdoorsy people who like a little spunk in their step!
